Amber for Colorado Springs ("the campaign", "we") runs amberforcolorado.com. This policy explains what we collect on this site, why, and the choices you have.
What we collect
- Information you give us. When you sign up for updates or use the contact form we store the details you enter: name, email address, and if you choose to provide them, mobile number, ZIP code, the topic you picked and your message.
- Text-message consent. If you tick the box to receive texts, we record that choice, the number you gave and when you gave it.
- Site analytics. The site uses PostHog analytics to understand how pages are used (for example, which sections visitors reach and on what kind of device). This uses cookies or similar identifiers. We do not sell this data.
- Donations. Contributions are processed by PSQ Impact on its own secure pages. The campaign does not see or store your card details. PSQ Impact collects the contributor information that campaign-finance law requires, under its own privacy policy.
How we use it
- To send you the campaign updates, event reminders and volunteer opportunities you asked for.
- To reply to your message.
- To keep the site working, secure and useful.
- To meet legal obligations, including campaign-finance reporting.
Who we share it with
Only with service providers that help us run the campaign (website hosting, email and text-message delivery, donation processing), and when the law requires it. Providers may use your information only to provide their service to us. We never sell or rent your information.
Text messages
Mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Reply STOP to any message to opt out, or HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply. See the text-message terms.
Your choices
- Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link, and every text honours STOP.
- Email info@amberforcolorado.com to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you. We will respond within 30 days.
- You can block cookies in your browser; the site will still work.
Retention and security
We keep sign-up and contact records for the life of the campaign and as long afterwards as campaign-finance and records law requires, then delete them. Data is stored on access-controlled servers in the United States.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.
